Undoubtedly the toughest race in the 2019 series and arguably the toughest triathlon in Britain, this event begins with a swim in the freezing waters of the mountain lakes at Capel Curig. Then a massive 70 kilometre bike stage takes competitors on a tour of the most beautiful views in Snowdonia, but with the penalty of its most gruelling hills to be conquered on the way. The final 10 kilometre run takes the competitors drained legs up and down Moel Siabod – an unforgiving mountain climb and descent where victory will be won or lost.
A new addition to the series, this popular Olympic distance event features a sea swim, a spectacular bike ride over the hills of the Gower Peninsula and a coastal run where off-road running and steep hill climbs will settle the race.
The final event in the series takes place on the island of Anglesey in North Wales. A sea swim and hilly bike set up the 5k technical run in the forests and sand dunes of Newborough, where the titles will be decided.
