Verbier E-Bike Festival 2019
The inaugural edition of the Verbier E-Bike Festival took place in August 2019. This extreme challenge against the backdrop of breathtaking Alpine scenery attracted riders of all levels to the picturesque village of Verbier in tSwitzerland. Willpower, endurance and bike-handling prowess were put to the test on gruelling climbs and technically demanding downhill parts, as athletes tackled various climate zones in two different races.
Firstly, the flagship event of the Verbier E-Bike festival. By invitation only, elite e-bike riders take part in a 3 day, 300km race (including 260km of single tracks) around Mont Blanc (E-TMB) through Switzerland, Italy, and France. Riders like MTB legend and multiple World Champion Christoph Sauser (SUI), triple Cape Epic winner Stefan Sahm (GER) and long term Swiss Freeride World Tour competitor Jérémie Heitz (freeski) crossed the 3 countries of this border region before reaching the finish line.
Secondly, ambitious amateurs could tackle the one-day Tour du Val de Bagnes alongside elite riders.
