Shanghai Marathon 2019

Athletes from 85 countries and all over China competed in the 24th edition of the Shanghai International Marathon. The start took place near the Custom’s house with the route passing many of Shanghais’ iconic sights and the finish line placed at the Shanghai Stadium.

Course record holder since 2015, Paul Kipchumba LONYANGAT of Kenya took the overall lead in the 24th edition with a time of 2 hours 8 minutes and 11 seconds. In the women’s division Yebrgual Melese ARAGE from Ethiopia who broke the course women’s record just a year earlier, won overall with a time of 2 hours 23 minutes and 19 seconds.
